To sign up, send email to taxwise.signup@vita-volunteers.org and the message will be forwarded to the IRS coordinator. You will get a confirmation e-mail if you are accepted, and please come only if you get that email.

Provide the following information:
1. State your tax experience and computer experience.
2. State which VITA site you are willing to assist at.
3. State which e-file site you assisted at in filing season 2005.
4. State your first and second choice for class.
5. Volunteers will only be able to attend one session due to space limitations.

Pub 4012 Volunteer Resource Guide
Pub 678W Comprehensive Problems
Exercise Workbook to the TaxWise session.

Description of TaxWise classes:
·       Basic TaxWise will provide an overview of the TaxWise software and walk through a sample problem.
·       TaxWise open lab will provide a quick overview of TaxWise and use of software to prepare a sample problem with the assistance from instructor.
·       TaxWise Transmitter class is made available to only individuals that will be transmitting returns for a VITA site.

Preference will be given to individuals who have completed the VITA test, returning e-file volunteers that have previously assisted in filing season 2005.
