the Link &Learn Taxes e-Learning course. This site is
readily available to the public.
If you are volunteering in the San
Jose Territory Area, please print out the certificate and send it to the
IRS VITA VRPP
Coordinator so that you can be certified to prepare taxes at
the VITA sites. Volunteers in other areas will need to get in
touch with their respective coordinators.
Details for the 2007 Tax Year training
There are six Link & Learn
Taxes e-Learning courses and
tests,
each representing a complete
certification track:

Basic (common individual
and family tax concerns)
-
Intermediate (other
forms of income and
deductions)
-
Advanced (pension and
advanced tax concerns)
-
Military (members of the
armed forces)
-
International (for
Taxpayers living outside
the U.S.)
-
Puerrto Rico
Please make sure that you are taking the
Link & Learn Test for the
correct year. In order
to take the test for 2007,
you will need to register at
the test taking website, and
it appears that you are
allowed 2 attempts to pass
each test with a passing
grade o 80%. In
addition, it appears that
once you enter an answer,
you may not go back and
change it.
