The IRS classroom training Sessions for VITA are now over for 2008 and the Santa Clara County IRS VITA Coordinator has requested that no more registrations be accepted online. 

The tax season is now over,  and while there may be a limited number of sites available to help taxpayers between April 16, 2008 and next year, most of these sites will be relying on volunteers who were active during the earlier part of the year.

If you are determined to volunteer and do not require any training, or have taken and been certified online and know how to use TaxWise,  you may try contacting the site coordinator of the site of your choice.   The relevant emails are given at  VITA Sites information page.
