Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
volunteers provide FREE Income Tax Preparation Assistance to
low-Income, elderly, disabled and limited English speaking
people.
For the 2009 Tax year, the income level for
VITA services is set at $49,000.
As to what constitutes the Income limits
"Any reference to income thresholds will adhere to the annual
EITC eligibility amounts for families."
Volunteers are trained and
certified by the IRS. This website is to direct
potential and returning
IRS-Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Preparers to information about
training and assignment to sites.
